On Sunday I was invited to take photos for a gorgeous little girl’s christening. It was the first time I’ve been to a christening, let alone photographed one, so I really had no idea what was going to happen, or what sort of faux pas I was making while I was walking around clicking away. I tried not to take photos during prayers but my brain was preoccupied thinking about camera things and quite a few times I found myself snapping away half way through a prayer, which, I’m assuming, is probably bad? Aside from my fear of accidentally offending anyone, the christening was beautiful, and it was held at St Brigid’s Catholic Church in North Fitzroy, which is a stunning building.
After the christening, the little girl’s parents put on a garden party at their home, which was really delightful, and the weather was perfect for it.
Below is baby Eva with her Aunt (left) and Mum (right), and if these two women are anything to go by Eva has creativity in her blood. Her Aunt, Cinti, is a very clever and crafty lady who runs My Poppet, an online store full of gorgeous handmade and vintage things for kids, she also made Eva’s sweet little dress. And Eva’s Mum, Janet, decorated the party and put on the desert spread, some of which is pictured below.
